Breakfast in Bread
Ingredients
- 2 Eggs scrambled
- 1 oz butter
- 1 tb Peppers diced
- 1 tb Onions diced
- 1 oz Sausage browned and chopped
- 1 oz Ham diced
- Sourdough roll
- 4 oz hot Cheddar sauce (recipe to follow)
Directions
- Cut the top off of the roll, hollow out the inside and toast in the oven
- Melt the butter and saute the onions and peppers
- Add the ham and sausage, cook until warm
- Add the eggs and cook until soft scrambled
- Stuff the toasted roll with the egg mixture
- Pour the cheddar sauce over the top
- serve
Cheddar Sauce
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Monterey jack cheese, shredded
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 8 ounces easy melt cheese, cubed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
Directions
- in a saucepan, heat the cream and ez-melt
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cheeses.
- To the saucepan, add shredded cheeses and season with salt and pepper. Cook until melted
