“Game day” chili dog recipe! 

-A package of your favorite brand of hot dog (my family loves Nathan’s all beef hot dogs)

-2 pound block of Sharp cheddar cheese 

-1 pound of ground chuck hamburger meat 

-16 oz of hot sausage 

-White onion 

-Dijon mustard 

-Brown sugar 

-Worcestershire 

-Potato hot dog buns 

-Granulated onion 

-15 oz can of tomato sauce 

-Salt/pepper 

-Chop up all the hot dogs and then brown in a large skillet with butter.

-then take out of pan and put ground beef and sausage in to brown in same pan and season with chili powder ...granulated onion.......salt/pepper ....and a chopped onion...and a little Worcestershire 

-drain the grease if you want but I leave it .....

-add a can of tomato sauce and a tablespoon of Dijon mustard and a half cup of brown sugar 

 

In another skillet on medium heat .....cover the bottom with freshly grated cheese 

-let it bubble and then add the cooked chopped hotdogs and fold the cheese around them 

 

In the oven brown your buns that have been buttered 

 

Now add the hot dog and cheese goodness to the toasted buttered buns and top with chili and then some more skillet cooked cheese 

Toppings: 

-Chopped green onions 

-Chopped jalapeños 

-chopped tomatoes 

Chopped fresh onions 

Mustard/ketchup 

(Or mix mayo/lemon juice/mayo for a great sauce) 

 

The easiest “Game day”Queso dip! 

-32 ounces of hot sausage 

-1 big block of velveeta cheese 

-1 24 ounce jar of salsa 

-1 cup of heavy cream 

-2 cups of shredded Sharp cheddar 

 

Brown all the sausage in a skillet and then add all the ingredient to a large crockpot on low and stir every 15 minutes until it is melted into queso game day goodness!
