CHARLOTTE, N.C. —

1. Nancy Pelosi says she doesn't support impeaching President Trump because "it divides the country"

In a surprising move to many, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said in an interview with the Washington Post that she doesn't think Congress should impeach President Donald Trump.

"Unless there's something so compelling and overwhelming and bipartisan, I don't think we should go down that path, because it divides the country," she said.

Oversight and Reform Committee Chairman Elijah Cummings, one of the lawmakers leading those investigations, said he agrees with Pelosi and Congress needs "to do our homework." He said impeachment "has to be a bipartisan effort, and right now it's not there."

"I get the impression this matter will only be resolved at the polls," Cummings said.

3. The FDA approved the first-ever immunotherapy drug for breast cancer treatment

Swiss drugmaker Roche's Tecentriq was OK'd Friday for treating advanced triple-negative breast cancer, which accounts for about 15 percent of cases. It's to be given with chemotherapy, the standard treatment.

Approved for two other cancers, Tecentriq works by boosting the immune system's ability to spot and kill cancer cells. In a study of 900 women, the benefits were modest. Those who received Tecentriq plus chemo went two months longer on average without their cancer worsening compared with those on chemo alone.

4. 'Get out!' NC Subway restaurant owner slaps customer in shocking viral video

Call it the slap heard across the Carolinas. Tina Richardson said she went to a Subway restaurant in Concord to ask for a refund when the owner smaked her phone away, hit her in the head and threw the sandwich at her.

"The owner thinks it's OK to smack my phone away, smack me in the head and then throw the sandwich (that I was trying to get corrected by refund or store credit) at my head. What has this world come to," Richardson wrote on Facebook.

The video has been seen over 1 million times.

Subway sent out a statement responding to the incident:

Providing an excellent guest experience is important to us and our expectation is that everyone is treated with respect. The local team has reached out to the guest to apologize on behalf of the restaurant as this incident is inconsistent with the high standards Subway® restaurants requires of its Franchise Owners. The Franchise Owner expressed his regrets for how he handled the situation.

5. The ACC Tournament tips off in Charlotte Tuesday for the first time since 2008

The Queen City might want to consider changing its name to Hoopsville, USA. In a span of about a month, Charlotte has hosted the NBA All-Star Weekend, the CIAA Tournament and now the ACC Tournament will take over uptown for a few days.

And if you ask many players and coaches, it's right where it should be.

"I think the tournament should always be in Greensboro or Charlotte," said NC State coach Kevin Keatts.

But the ACC doesn't necessarily agree. Last year's title game at Barclays Center in Brooklyn was the highest-attended college basketball game at the arena since it opened in 2012.

The action gets started at noon Thursday when Wake Forest takes on Miami. Two other games will follow, with Georgia Tech facing Notre Dame and Boston College meeting Pitt.
