MOORESVILLE, N.C. — The Mooresville Police Department is mourning the loss of their K-9, Sadie.
According to the police department, K-9 Sadie had become a welcome fixture at Mooresville High School and throughout the Mooresville Graded School District.
The department said Sadie passed away early Wednesday morning.
"Please keep her partner and handler, Officer Dan Walther, and his family in your thoughts as they grieve this loss," Mooresville police wrote on their Facebook page.
