Amélie's to make limited edition macarons with all proceeds donated to local charities

To celebrate their anniversary, guests can help Amélie's donate to the community by purchasing a special Birthday Cake French Macaron or rounding up their order purchase.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Amélie’s French Bakery & Café is celebrating their 10th birthday by giving back to the community the only way they know how -- by baking.

Amélie’s is a French-inspired café known for their sweets, savories and beverages. Amélie’s first opened their bakery doors in Charlotte’s NoDa neighborhood in 2008 and has since grown to five other locations.

To celebrate their anniversary, guests can help Amélie’s donate to the community by purchasing a special Birthday Cake French Macaron or rounding up their order purchase.

The Macaron features a cake batter buttercream filling between two macaron cookies with rainbow sprinkles. All proceeds from the sale of this special macaron will be donated evenly to each nonprofit (with a minimum donation of $2,000 each).

The event will run from September 10- October 10 with 100% of the profits from the limited edition macaron to be split evenly between three local organizations.

“We owe everything to the Charlotte community for supporting us from day one, and we want to thank everyone for helping us grow to where we are today,” said Mary Jayne Wilson, Amélie’s Executive Chef. “We have had an amazing past 10 years serving our guests, and we can’t wait to see where the next 10 will take us.”

The limited-edition Birthday Cake French Macaron will be available at all six Amélie’s locations in Charlotte, N.C. (NoDa, Uptown, Carmel Commons, Park Road); Rock Hill, S.C.; and Atlanta.
