A new cocktail bar has opened for business in uptown Charlotte. Called Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo, it is located at 220 E. Trade St., Suite 2200, on the 22nd floor of the AC Hotel.
Featuring views of the city's skyline, the new spot is pouring beer, wine and handcrafted cocktails.
On the menu, there are small plates like bison tartare served with Yukon potato chips, whipped horseradish, mustard aioli and egg yolk; and lobster club sliders with Duke's mayo, smoked bacon, lettuce and tomato.
Finish off your evening with dessert, such as house-made custard with a toasted sugar top and a salted caramel sauce or a mini-Italian rum cake served with chocolate sauce. (Find the full menu here.)
It's still early days for Nuvolé Rooftop TwentyTwo, which has a 3.5-star rating based on eight Yelp reviews.
Brooke B., who reviewed the new spot on Sept. 30, wrote, "Awesome panoramic views of uptown Charlotte! It was worth the wait. The cocktails and the atmosphere were great. The hostesses were extremely friendly and there were lots of seating options all around the rooftop with a nice bar in the center area."
