2. 10 years later: Detectives continue following leads on the Kyle Fleischmann case

November 9 is a somber anniversary for the mysterious disappearance of a young man.

Thursday marks 10 years since anyone has heard from Kyle Fleischmann. The 24-year-old was last seen on surveillance video walking alone after police say he left a group of friends in uptown Charlotte.

3. Retired Navy vet charged with kidnapping, murdering Ashanti Billie

An arrest has been made in connection with the disappearance and murder of a Virginia Beach teenager.

On Wednesday, the Department of Justice said 45-year-old Eric Brown was in custody, charged with kidnapping. Detectives with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit have also charged him with murder.
