DAVIDSON, N.C. — Four people were taken into custody after a police chase ended with a crash in Davidson early Thursday, police said.
Officers said it all started around 1:30 Thursday morning when a resident at the Waterlynn apartment complex in Mooresville called police about a suspicious vehicle. The Waterlynn community has seen several car break-ins over the last month or so, according to police.
When police came to the scene, a chase ensued with the suspects leading police about four miles into Davidson. Officers used stop sticks to end the chase and the suspect's vehicle crashed into a sign near the Davidson Landing community.
Police said the suspects jumped out of the car and tried to hide in the woods beside the road but were caught and taken into custody. The suspects have not been identified at this time.
