CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating after two people were shot in south Charlotte early Monday.

According to CMPD, officers responded to a reported armed robbery in the 6500 block of Outer Bridge Lane off Providence Road around 3:15 a.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found two men suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.

Police said one of the victims suffered life-threatening injuries during the incident. Both victims were taken to Carolinas Medical Center Main by Medic.

Detectives are currently covering the area and interviewing neighbors to determine if there were any additional witnesses.
