HARRISBURG, N.C. — Deputies in Cabarrus County are asking for the public's help identifying the suspect in a Harrisburg bank robbery.
The Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office was called to the BB&T on Main Street in Harrisburg a little after 2 p.m. Wednesday for a reported robbery. Bank workers told deputies that the suspect demanded money before running from the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect then drove away in an older white Ford SUV with a Pittsburgh Steelers tag on the front. Deputies said the suspect drove south on Highway 49 toward Charlotte. No one was hurt during the robbery.
Deputies described the suspect as a black male, approximately six feet tall with a slim build. He was seen wearing dark jeans, a dark-colored zip-up hooded sweatshirt and black slip-on style shoes.
