Electronic skimmer placed on Concord ATM

Police in Concord are investigating after a skimming device was found on an ATM at a bank Saturday.

CONCORD, N.C. – Police in Concord are investigating after a skimming device was found on an ATM at a bank Saturday.

Concord Police said the skimmer was found on the ATM at the State Employees Credit Union at 60 Raiford Drive. Detectives said the device was installed on the machine at approximately 5:46 p.m. Thursday.

The suspect applied a wax-like substance to the ATM camera lens in an attempt to blur his image, police said.

Anyone that used this ATM is asked to check their bank account for any suspicious activity and ask to speak to a representative from their financial institution.
