CONCORD, N.C. – Concord Police arrested a 53-year-old man who was wanted in connection with the death of his wife.
Police took Patrick O'Sullivan into custody Saturday morning after he was found distressed from cold.
Concord Police began conducting a homicide investigation Thursday night in the 100 block of Todd Drive Northeast. About 30 minutes later, Concord Police announced that they had obtained an arrest warrant for O'Sullivan for first-degree murder.
The victim, Rebekah Hart-O'Sullivan, was his wife. She worked as a paramedic for Mecklenburg County EMS (Medic).
"This tragic development has had a profound impact on Medic and its employees," said Joe Penner, executive director, Mecklenburg EMS Agency. "On behalf of Rebekah's co-workers, our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends during this time of solace.
Rebekah's funeral will be held at Concord First Assembly Church at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. You can watch a live stream of the service here.
