ROCK HILL, S.C. – Police in Rock Hill are conducting a homicide investigation after a man shot early Saturday morning died.

Rock Hill Police responded to a reported shooting at the old American Legion Building in the 100 block of South Cherry Road a little before 1 a.m. Saturday. When police arrived, they were told a 24-year-old man was taken to a Rock Hill hospital after being shot. He was then transported to CMC-Main in Charlotte where he later died.

This is the first homicide of 2018 in Rock Hill, police said.
