Woman charged in deadly shooting outside Salisbury arcade

Investigators said the shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. Saturday in the 1800 block of east Innes Street at the Fishzilla Arcade.

SALISBURY, N.C. -- A woman was charged with 2nd degree murder Tuesday in the shooting death of a man at an arcade in Salisbury over the weekend.

Police said 42-year-old Dedric Michelle Mason shot and killed 45-year-old James Christopher Davis early Saturday morning.

Investigators said the shooting happened around 1:15 a.m. in the 1800 block of east Innes Street at the Fishzilla Arcade.

Officers found Davis suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to Novant Health Rowan where he later died from his injuries.

Mason was being held at the Rowan County Jail under a $50,000 secured bond. She wil make her first court appearance on Thursday.
