According to Medic, the shooting happened on Ashely Rd near Wilkinson Blvd.

CMPD said the victim, a teen, was shot in the head at a gas station in Ashley Road. Police on scene said it appears the shooting was drug-related, though CMPD has not mentioned that in any of the case updates that have followed.

"Extremely bright, determined, focused young man," Gould said.
