DALLAS, N.C. — A man was arrested in connection with a shooting near Gaston College in Dallas Wednesday evening, officials said.

It happened around 8 p.m. on Gastonia Technology Parkway. The victim drove to McDonald's on Dallas High Shoals Highway, police said. He was later taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators said the victim was not a student, and it was unclear if he knew the suspect.

On Thursday, Antonio McCorkle was charged with attempted murder and jailed with no bond.
