CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A teenager was recovering Friday after being shot in the leg, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said.
It happened around 3 p.m. near the 1300 block of Thomasboro Drive.
Police told NBC Charlotte the 17-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Officers said three people were detained. Investigators were working to figure out the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
