Two in custody after west Charlotte McDonald's armed robbery, police say

Two people are in police custody after an armed robbery at a west Charlotte McDonald's early Monday, police said.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two people are in police custody after an armed robbery at a west Charlotte McDonald's early Monday, police said.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police responded to a reported armed robbery at the McDonald's at the intersection of Boyer Street and Billy Graham Parkway a little before 3:30 a.m. The caller said two men robbed the store at gunpoint before driving away from the restaurant.

A few minutes later, CMPD officers pulled over a vehicle matching the suspect description off Taggart Creek. The people in the car were positively identified as the suspects from the robbery. They have not been identified and no charges have been announced by CMPD.

No further information was provided by detectives.
