UNION COUNTY, N.C. -- Authorities are looking for the person who shot up four homes and several vehicles near Monroe on Monday night.
The Union County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were sent to Griffith Road around 9:00 p.m. following reports of gunfire. That's where they found the damaged houses and cars. Investigators believed it was likely birdshot fired from a shotgun.
No injuries were reported. Witnesses described the suspect's vehicle as a dark colored pickup truck, possibly a Chevrolet, with loud mufflers.
