A man upset with his girlfriend smashed the windshield of a Kalamazoo police car.
An officer walking out of the Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety building at 1400 Howard Street around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, reported seeing a 48-year-old man using a shovel to damage the window, according to a news release.
The suspect placed the shovel on the ground after the officer spotted him, and replied he wanted to be taken to jail. He damaged the vehicle because he was upset with his girlfriend, the man told police.
