CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A local woman is warning people about a practical joke with potentially deadly consequences. The Charlotte woman says her car was egged while she was behind the wheel.
The woman's Facebook post says a group of boys threw eggs at her moving vehicle.
Thankfully, the woman didn't turn on her wipers. In the event of eggs hitting your windshield -- that's the last thing you want to do. It smears the eggs, coating the windshield in the process.
Laura Collins says the same thing happened to her.
"Something hit the car," Collins previously said. "I wasn't sure what it was, but it started to smear up the side here and on the windshield."
Something smashed into her windshield, suddenly.
In Texas, a deadly crash was the result of a car chase that officials say started after teens threw eggs at another driver's vehicle.
"He pulled out a firearm," said Sean Teare, Asst. Harris County District Attorney. "He fired shots at these kids. He chased them getting to speeds of 100 miles an hour."
