CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- NBC Charlotte will have live updates throughout the day Friday as Rev. Billy Graham is laid to rest on the ground of the Billy Graham Library in Charlotte, N.C.

3:55 p.m. Service concludes.

3:53 p.m. The family is placing white roses on the casket of Rev. Billy Graham.

3:27 p.m. The interment for Rev. Billy Graham has begun in the prayer garden.

3:14 p.m. CMPD tweets about security and traffic control for Rev. Billy Graham's funeral

2:48 p.m. President Trump tweets, "REST IN PEACE BILLY GRAHAM!"

1:50 p.m. -- Vice President Mike Pence tweets about "emotional and inspiring" service for Rev. Billy Graham as Air Force Two departs Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

1:48 p.m. Shuttles have begun taking guests from the Billy Graham Library to the airport.

1:47 p.m. Vice President Pence is leaving Charlotte on Air Force Two.

1:43 p.m. Guests are waiting at Billy Graham Library for shuttles to take them to the airport.

1:40 p.m. President Trump is leaving Charlotte in Air Force One.

1:31 p.m. NBC Charlotte's Michelle Boudin is talking with Joel Osteen. He says Rev. Billy Graham was the man for his hour, the service was Christ-centered and people left inspired.

1:27 p.m. President Trump is getting ready to depart from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

1:19 p.m. The family is saying goodbye to guests as they leave the funeral.

1:18 p.m. President Trump's motorcade is leaving the Billy Graham Library.

1:16 p.m. President Trump shook hands with some guests and is now getting back into his motorcade.

1:14 p.m. Rev. Billy Graham's casket is being escorted out of the tent. His family will attend the private burial later.

12:24 p.m. Anne Graham Lotz, daughter of Rev. Billy Graham, talks about her father teaching her to read and ask questions about the Bible.

12:21 p.m. Virginia "Gigi" Graham, daughter of Rev. Billy Graham, takes the podium and reads poem her mother wrote as a child about the man she would marry.

12:18 p.m. The family is beginning tributes to the Rev. Billy Graham, starting with sister Jean Ford, only surviving sibling, married to evangelist Leighton Ford.

12:05 p.m. The Franklin family is being seated.

12:00 p.m. The Rev. Billy Graham's casket is being escorted into the tent by pallbearers Alex Graham (grandson), Edward Graham (grandson), Samuel Graham (grandson), Will Graham (grandson), Antony Tchividjian (grandson) and Corey Lynch ((grandson-in-law).

11:57 a.m. President Donald Trump, First Lady Melania Trump, Vice President Mike Pence and Second Lady Karen Pence are being escorted to their seats.

11:47 a.m. President Trump's motorcade has arrived at the Billy Graham Library.

11:35 a.m. The guests are being instructed to turn off cell phones and stay seated during the service. The Graham family is getting ready to come in as well as President Trump. A pianist from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA) is playing a prelude.

11:25 a.m. -- Members of the Graham family make their way to the funeral tent from the Billy Graham Library and take their seats.

11:19 a.m. -- Presidential motorcade departs from Charlotte Douglas with President Trump, Vice President Pence, and Governor Roy Cooper en route to the Billy Graham Library.

11:10 a.m. -- Sarah Palin arrives at the Billy Graham Library and takes a seat under the tent with the crowd assembled for the service. President Trump has yet to leave Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

11:04 a.m. -- Air Force One lands at Charlotte Douglas International with President Trump. Trump will meet with Vice President Pence before driving the presidential motorcade travels to the Billy Graham Library. Governor Roy Cooper will meet Trump and Pence at the airport.

10:30 a.m. -- Former mayor of New York City Rudy Guliani arrives at the Billy Graham Library.

10:28 a.m. -- Air Force Two lands at Charlotte Douglas International Airport with Vice President Mike Pence and his wife, Karen. Air Force One is expected to land in Charlotte a little after 11 a.m. with President Trump and First Lady Melania.

10:15 a.m. -- Pastor Joel Osteen arrives at Billy Graham Library and speaks with assembled media outside funeral tent.

10:13 a.m. -- Famed pastor Rick Warren and Beth Moore of Living Proof Ministries arrive at the Billy Graham Library.

10:05 a.m. -- Carolina Panthers owner Jerry Richardson arrives at the Billy Graham Library approximately two hours before the start of Friday's service.

9:47 a.m. -- Kathie Lee Gifford arrives at the Billy Graham Library. "Who told you this is a sad day? This is a celebration," she said.

8:37 a.m. -- Former North Carolina governor Pat McCrory arrives at the Billy Graham Library. Shortly after becoming mayor of Charlotte, McCrory forged a relationship with Rev. Graham.

8:29 a.m. -- Vice President Mike Pence tweets that he and wife Karen are en route to Charlotte to pay tribute to the life of Rev. Billy Graham. President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump will also attend Friday's service.

7:00 a.m. -- Officials with the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association anticipate guests to arrive within the next hour. One staff member tells NBC Charlotte, "it's overwhelming to be a part of this."
