HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. -- As the Carolinas were battered by damaging winds and heavy rain during Sunday's severe weather, a calf was born at a Huntersville barn.
The farm's owner said he was so busy with the birth that he hardly noticed the storm happening outside, reports NBC Charlotte's Kendall Morris.
Sunday's strong storms forced the barn on Brown Mill Road in Huntersville to collapse. No one from the farm was hurt, including the calf.
The owner said the calf will be named Stormy.
