Parsons is charged with felony first-degree murder, felony child abuse with serious physical injury, felony obstruction of justice and felony concealment of death, deputies said.

Parsons will be held in the Rowan County Detention Center without bond and is expected to make an appearance in court March 14.

In February, deputies announced both Casey Parsons and her husband Sandy were charged with first-degree murder on the death of Erica Parsons, who was first reported missing five years ago from her home in Salisbury.

Sandy Parsons is being held in federal prison in Michigan and will also be brought back to Salisbury, according to NBC Charlotte's sister station WFMY.
