CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A family was displaced Monday night following a house fire in east Charlotte.
Crews responded to the 3400 block of Central Avenue near Plaza Midwood around 8 p.m. There was heavy smoke showing when firefighters arrived.
The flames were under control in about 20 minutes. The Red Cross is helping two adults and five kids who lived in the home.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
