After the U.S. women’s national soccer team secured their fourth World Cup victory, chants of “Equal pay! Equal pay!” erupted throughout the stadium, referring their pay discrimination lawsuit against the U.S. Soccer Federation. As a result, Congress introduced legislation to close the pay gap in national sports teams.

The fight for equal pay for equal work does not stop at soccer stars. According to a recent survey, nearly 1 in 3 women feel that there is a gender gap when it comes to workplace opportunity - with little sign of improvement.
