CHARLOTTE, N.C. — UNC Charlotte just announced on their social media pages that one of the victims in the deadly school shooting just had surgery.
Rami Alramadhan, 20, was one of the students injured after a former student entered his classroom and opened fire.
UNCC said Rami had asked them to let everyone know that he just underwent surgery but is healing and doing great. The school is asking everyone to keep Alramadhan, 19-year-old Drew Pescaro, 20-year-old Sean DeHart and 23-year-old Emily Houpt in your thoughts as they all continue to heal. All four students were injured in the mass shooting.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are trying to figure out why a gunman opened fire at UNC Charlotte on Tuesday evening.
Two students were killed and four were hurt during the shooting in a classroom in the Kennedy building, police confirmed.
Police said the students who died at the scene were identified as 19-year-old Ellis Parlier and 21-year-old Riley Howell.
