A tour of the new Mustang Owner's Museum in Concord

From the earliest models to modern Mustangs and even police cars, the new museum is home to dozens of the Ford's iconic pony car.

CONCORD, N.C. — Muscle car lovers, unite.

Last August, Ford produced the 10 millionth Mustang, which just goes to show how popular the iconic coupe has been since making its debut at the 1964 World's Fair in New York.

Now, models of every generation are getting attention at the Mustang Owner's Museum in Concord. The 40,000 square foot building opened last month and showcases dozens of Mustangs, all owned by enthusiasts from across the country, including one of the very first Mustangs on display from the 1964 World's Fair.

"They wanted to do something sporty, something for the younger generation but affordable," said Steve Hall, executive director of the Mustang Owner's Museum.

From the earliest models to modern Mustangs and even police cars, the new museum is home to plenty of Ford's iconic pony car. There's even a 1967 kids' electric car model.

The cars remain relevant and irreplaceable to many of their owners, which make the museum the perfect way for enthusiasts to share their passion.

So far, Hall said the response has been overwhelming. Admission to the Mustang Owner's Museum is only $10. Click here for more information.
