CHARLOTTE - Former Gamecocks baseball standout Jackie Bradley Jr., is suiting up against the Charlotte Knights this week.

Bradley, an All-Star for the Boston Red Sox, is playing with the Triple-A Pawtucket Red Sox in their series at the Charlotte Knights.

The appearance is part of a rehab stint, as Bradley recovers from a sprained right knee ligament. Reports from Boston say Bradley could make his way back to the big leagues as early as Friday.

The PawSox are in Charlotte through Thursday.

The 27-year-old center fielder was a major part of South Carolina's back-to-back National Championships in 2010 and 2011, and was the 2010 College World Series Most Outstanding Player.

Bradley made his first MLB All-Star roster in 2016, hitting .267 with 26 home runs, and 87 RBI.
