UNC prepares for Sweet Sixteen appearance, Auburn game

Luke Maye, a UNC senior out of Huntersville, was overheard giving his teammates some advice while practicing.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — UNC spent Thursday preparing for their 36th Sweet Sixteen appearance. North Carolina plays Auburn Friday night at 7:29 p.m.

Ahead of the game, NBC Charlotte's Kelsey Riggs was there watching the Tar Heels prepare for the big game.

Luke Maye, a UNC senior out of Huntersville, was overheard giving his teammates some advice.

"The difference between failure and success is doing something almost right, and doing something exactly right," Maye said.

North Carolina freshman forward Nassir Little may or may not play in Friday's game, but that won't be decided until closer to the game. Little has flu-like symptoms, the team said, and sat out of practice because of it.

No. 1 North Carolina beat Washington 81-59 on March 24, and will face off against No. 5 Auburn in a Midwest Regional semifinal.
