CHARLOTTE, N.C. – In only the 10th game of his career, Christian McCaffrey put his name in the Carolina Panthers record book.
Entering Monday’s game against Miami, McCaffrey had accumulated 406 receiving yards. On the Panthers’ opening drive, the Stanford product hauled in a pass for 19 yards, which gave him the franchise record for receiving yards in a single season by a running back.
McCaffrey’s total surpassed the mark set by Jonathan Stewart by 2011, when he logged 413 receiving yards.
McCaffrey also picked up his second rushing touchdown of the season in the second quarter.
