CHARLOTTE, N.C. (PANTHERS WIRE) -- The Panthers have announced the signing of four tryout players following the end of rookie minicamp.

According to a release on the team website, Carolina has signed wide receiver Bug Howard, center Kyle Friend, guard Quinterrius Eatmon and defensive end Karter Schult.

To make room for the new recruits, the Panthers waived cornerback Zack Sanchez with an injury designation.

A former fifth-round pick out of Oklahoma in the 2016 NFL draft, Sanchez has been unable to stay healthy since coming into the NFL. He has only played in five games and started once over the last two seasons, recording four tackles.
