No students injured after CMS bus in east Charlotte collision, CMS official confirms

Medic said three people were injured after an SUV and a CMS bus were in a collision. A CMS official at the scene said no children were injured.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Three people were injured after an SUV and a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools bus were in a collision on Covecreek Drive Monday afternoon. A CMS official at the scene told WCNC Charlotte no children were injured.

School Bus 917 serving East Mecklenburg High School had two students on board at the time of the collision. It's not yet known how many people were in the SUV, but Medic did confirm none of the reported injuries were from those on the bus. 

At this time, details have not been released on what led up to the incident.
