CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The ramp to I-485 Inner from I-77 North was shut down Friday afternoon after a pedestrian was struck and killed.

The accident happened around 4:30 p.m.

Huntersville Fire tweeted drivers should use caution or avoid the area.

Medic confirmed one that one person had died.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said North Carolina State Highway Patrol was leading lead the investigation.
