CHARLOTTE, N.C. — According the the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, one lane is closed on outbound Park Road while Duke Energy does repairs. As of 6:15 p.m. on January 10, crews were almost done working on repairs.
Police advise using Seneca Place or Tyvola Road instead of Park Road.
The repairs are due to a traffic accident that occurred on Park Road, officials say.
A vehicle collided with a pole in the 5400 block of Park Road earlier this morning, according to police.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police said the crash happened around 5:30 a.m. in the 5400 block of Park Road, near the intersection with Fairview Road and the Southpark Corners apartment complex.
Medic said one person was rushed to Atrium Main with serious injuries.
At this time, officials have not said when the pole will be replaced.
WCNC will update this as more information becomes available.
