The cold front that brought us the rain early Saturday will usher in the coldest air of the season late Saturday into Sunday.
Temperatures will plummet into the 20s, 30s, and 40s overnight. It will feel colder as winds pick up. The mountains and elevated foothills are under a freeze warning since lows are expected to tank to around even below freezing! Also, winds are going to be quite strong around midnight into the early morning (especially for those above 3500 feet). Winds could be sustained around 30 mph and gusting up to 60 mph! A High Wind Warning will expire at noon tomorrow!
Highs across the board will be well below average! Most will miss out on 60° even with wall to wall sunshine. Highs will generally stay in the 40s in the mountains.
It will be even colder Sunday night into Monday, and with light winds and clear skies, there will likely be some areas of frost as temperatures dip into the 30s. By the afternoon, expect highs in the low 60s.
Have a great weekend!
