Clouds will increase overnight as a cold front drops into the area. There could be a few lingering showers overnight, especially in the mountains. We'll drop into the 60s by tomorrow morning.
Expect more clouds Sunday with showers, especially into the afternoon. There will be a slightly better chance in the mountains. If you are headed to the Panthers game there will be rain in the area so bring the poncho.
We will have the potential for rain every day next week and it will be a little cooler come Monday dropping below 80°. The best chance for rain will be Wednesday and Thursday, as another front approaches the area. It looks like we'll finally cool down and dry out as we kick off next week. Highs will likely only be in the upper 70s.
Topical Update: Tropical Storm Kirk will likely remain a tropical storm as it continues on a westerly track. As of now, it is forecast to approach the Lesser Antilles by late next week. We'll have to see where it goes from there and certainly how it holds together. Tropical Depression Eleven is looking rather unorganized and will likely become a remnant low by Sunday. We're also watching two other areas over the Atlantic. One has a 70% chance of developing into a tropical system over the next five days. It does not look to have an impact on the United States. The other area that we're watching is off the southeast coast. It has a 40% chance of developing into a tropical system. Guidance does not suggest that it will develop further, but it will likely bring some rain to coastal North Carolina and Virginia.
Have a great weekend!
