The heat wave continues as a dome of high pressure continues to dominate the southeast, keeping temperatures high and rain and storm chances low.
Highs will once again climb into the middle 90s for Memorial Day, so if you have outdoor plans, remember to stay hydrated and out of the sun. We'll challenge the record of 96° set back in 1916 again tomorrow.
A couple of things to keep in mind with this dangerous heat...
The mid 90s are likely for the next four days with highs ONLY falling "slightly" to the low 90s by Friday into next weekend. There will only be an isolated chance for storms over the next couple of days, primarily in the mountains. Our chance for rain and storms could increase by the weekend.
May 2019 will likely be in the top five for warmest Mays on record by the end of the month!
Stay safe and have a great rest of your holiday weekend!
