A restaurant in Wilmington opened its doors to serve victims of Florence on Saturday.
Hibachi to Go had no power, which meant the credit card machines were down, but that didn't stop the cooks from taking orders.
“They’re asking, like, we don’t have cash with us, how are we going to pay with a card, because the power is down here. We have gas grills, gas rice cooker, and we can keep everything going. And we said, just take it.”
People were grateful, especially a group of workers who were busy helping others during the storm.
“We appreciate it very much. We haven’t eaten today. First hot meal I’ve had in two days," one man said.
