Peter Frampton announces Charlotte concert on his farewell tour

One of rock and roll's biggest icons is calling it quits but not before making one last stop in the Queen City.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Legendary guitarist and rock and roll icon Peter Frampton is hitting the road one last time and he's bringing his farewell tour to Charlotte this summer.

Frampton announced that his Peter Frampton Finale — The Farewell Tour will stop in Charlotte's PNC Music Pavilion on Friday, August 30. Frampton will also perform in Raleigh and Simpsonville, South Carolina on the tour that kicks off in Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 18. 

Frampton's timeless hits include "Do You Feel The Way We Do," "Show Me The Way," and "Baby, I Love Your Way." His live album "Frampton Comes Alive!" is one of the top-selling live records of all time with more than 17 million copies sold worldwide since its release 43 years ago. 

Tickets for Frampton's Charlotte show will go on sale Friday, March 1 at 10 a.m. from Live Nation. VIP packages for the show will be available on Frampton's website as well.
