Restaurant Report Card: Several violations at new restaurant

A restaurant that opened just a few months ago made it onto the Restaurant Report Card this week.

Zeppelin on Tremont Ave started serving food in December. A recent health inspection showed the bartender rinsed but didn't wash hands.

The cooked lobster tail was being stored next to the raw fish, and the lamb ribs with a thick layer of fat weren’t cooling fast enough. Zeppelin got a 90.5, a low A grade.

At Godavari Authentic Indian Cuisine on Camfield Street, the health inspector saw an employee working with raw chicken and ready to eat food with no hand washing or glove change.

Knives and a dicer had food stuck on them but were marked clean, and there were a lot of gnats in the dishwashing area. Godavari got an 85, a mid B grade.

Inspectors at the Ichiban Sushi and Hibachi Buffet on Queen City Drive found some of their homemade sauces had no dates on them, so no one knew how old they were. They were tossed out.

A tub of cabbage wasn’t cooling fast enough, and the health inspector noticed heavy food debris gathering in drains under the food prep sinks. Ichiban got a 90, a low A grade.
