ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- The Rowan County Sheriff's Office says deputies have arrested a suspect in Friday's deadly shooting.
Deputies say 22-year-old Taedrin Sanders turned himself in "peacefully" to the Rowan County Sheriff's Office a little before Saturday afternoon.
On Friday,deputies responded to a call of a shooting on Gheen Road in Salisbury. Upon arrival, deputies found 21-year-old Gregory Yarborough with a gunshot wound. Yarborough was later pronounced dead.
The sheriff's office said someone called 911 around 3:30 p.m. to report a shooting at 1270 Gheen Road in Salisbury and hung up.
Sanders is expected to appear in court Monday, February 12.
"This is a prime example of Rowan County citizens and law enforcement working together to fight crime,” said Rowan County Sheriff Kevin Auten in a press release.
