MINNEAPOLIS -- Former Vice President Joe Biden is celebrating with the rest of Eagle nation.

The vice president to President Barack Obama was on the field of U.S. Bank Stadium after the Philadelphia Eagles upset the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII on Sunday. He spoke with reporters as the green confetti fell.

"I thought it was an incredible game," Biden said. "You know my wall of many dreams was to play flanker back in the pros. Not to be president or vice president. Watching these guys, they never, never, never, never gave up. And New England, they're one hell of a team, man. But these guys are for real. My guys are for real. They're not the underdogs next year."

Eagles receiver Torrey Smith went over to Biden on the field with his family. His son even caught his attention, and Biden knelt down to talk to Smith's son.

Biden hopes this was an inspiration for his home state.

"So many folks have been down and out. So many hard working people, middle class people, this just gives them reason to hope and believe. I know that sounds corny, but I really believe it. It really makes a difference."
