One person seriously injured after concrete truck overturns

Firefighters said it took 16 crew members to free the driver from the overturned concrete truck.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person has been transported to the hospital after a concrete truck overturned Friday morning in Charlotte.

According to the Charlotte Fire Department, the accident happened at WWT Harris Blvd and W. Sugar Creek Rd. Firefighters said it took 16 crew members to free the driver from the overturned concrete truck.

Eastbound WWT Harris is currently closed.
