Meilin Tompkins is a Special Contents Producer and has been with the team since April 2018.
Meilin started as a digital content producer with WCNC Charlotte and worked her way up into Special Contents. Meilin focuses on writing and editing stories for WCNC Charlotte's three pillars: Verify, Where's the Money, and Seeking Solutions.
Before making her way to Charlotte, Meilin worked in Jacksonville, Florida for WCNC's sister station WTLV, where she was a digital producer for almost two years.
Meilin's first job out of college was working for a TEGNA station in Portland, Maine. Meilin attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she received her bachelor's degree in Journalism. Meilin is originally from St. Petersburg, Fla. and frequently goes back to visit her parents in the sunshine state.
