DAVIE COUNTY, N.C. — Have you ever seen a Davie County goat in bunny ears? Check it out below!
The Nigerian Dwarf goat from the Triad competed to be the next Cadbury Bunny -- an annual contest that comes around each Easter.
"She's the friendliest out of all of them," Robyn McNally, Cheville's mom said.
The McNally's moved to North Carolina from Pennsylvania, bringing their love of goats with them.
"We always were interested in goats and alpacas. Before we moved down here, we actually had two of them, Thelma and Louise, and then we moved, we had more land, and we just wanted to get a couple more," McNally said.
Cheville or 'Chevy' is one of their seven goats.
"She's actually going to be two at the end of this month and she's super cute."
So much so, mom Robyn entered 'Chevy' into the 2024 Cadbury Bunny Tryouts.
"Just thought, hey why not, see how far we could go."
She made it to the top 32 semifinalists in the contest. While she did not make it in the final rounds of the competition, she did make it internationally on the news in Sydney, Australia.
But winner or not, Cheville still takes home the best trophy and adorable bunny ears.
"We don't have children, so she's basically like one of our kids and we spoil all of them...it was super fun, and we are very proud of her," McNally said.
Here are the final four in the 2024 Cadbury Bunny Contest, including a bunny from North Carolina!
