The experts at the Better Business Bureau created a checklist to follow before you say, “Bon voyage!”
Here are 5 tips for smart travel, according to the Better Business Bureau:
- Document check
Make sure everyone in your group has the appropriate identification needed to travel. - Know policies
Before your flight gets delayed or canceled, know your specific airlines refund policies so you can act quickly and with confidence. - Consider insurance
Travel insurance can be a good option to protect your trip but you have to make sure you know what the insurance does and does not cover before you purchase. - Read fine print
This is crucial for you to find any added charges or “hidden fees” before you board. - Be informed
Read up on the Department of Transportation’s website to know your rights as a traveler and what steps to take should plans go wrong.
