CHARLOTTE, N.C. Friday a judge sentenced a Charlotte man to life in prison after a 2011 robbery and murder.
Eric Everett Blackmon, 27, was convicted of first degree murder, robbery with a dangerous weapon, and possessing a firearm by a convicted felon for the May 2011 murder of Miguel Angel Audon Corado, 40.
According to the district attorney s office, the trial began July 29, in Superior Court. Friday, the jury returned the unanimous verdict around 7:00 p.m.
According to authorities, Blackmon had prior armed robbery convictions and was on post-release supervision after serving a prison sentence at the time he killed Corado.
