CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed in west Charlotte Sunday night.
CMPD responded to a reported shooting in the 1200 block of Saratoga Drive, near Thomasboro Academy, around 7 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the victim, Tunji Smith Jr., 19, suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
No arrests have been made and CMPD has not released any suspect information. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
