CHARLOTTE, N.C. — One person is being treated for serious injuries after a shooting near the AvidXchange Music Factory, according to police.
Police responded to Atrium Health Pineville around 3:45 a.m. Monday, where an 18-year-old said he was shot by an unknown person. The victim said it happened in a parking lot on North Carolina Music Factory Boulevard, according to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police report.
The shooting happened near multiple popular entertainment venues, including The Comedy Zone and Skyla Credit Union Amphitheatre, though the exact location is not yet clear.
WCNC Charlotte has reached out to AvidXchange Music Factory for comment on if the shooting took place at or near a business within the entertainment complex.
